Warriors of the Wind — Kagura and Temari
A while ago someone commented on how I should do a Kagura pic, and as I had never drawn her before the idea hung about in my head until I came up with this idea. I know for a fact the Kagura vs. Temari match has been done before (let's face it, who could resist?) but I wanted to do my own take on it. It's a really fun match, because Kagura (from Inuyasha), uses a fan to manipulate wind and work magic, while Temari (from Naruto) uses her fan to create wind blades very similar to Kagura's, as well as a reliable head basher a la Hiraikotsu. It was a total pain to sketch, because I wanted action I had to have them more or less fighting: Now Kagura and Temari are predominantly long-ranged fighters, so how do you get them together on one piece of paper? And how, lord help me, do you squeeze all of Tem's monstrous fan on there as well? Answer: Forshortening and perspective. Yeah baby. I've put Temari in her Jounin outfit, which I'm still not 100% certain on the colors of. But it was fun. There are some continuity errors, do to me being lazy and not getting reference, but I'll let you find them on your own.  Pilot pen and water colors. Kagura is from Inuyasha and © Takahashi Rumiko, and Temari is from Naruto © Kishimoto Masashi. Enjoy.  P.S.
