Artist's CommentsSepherus, Prince of Hell, takes a message from a raven. I think it may not be good news; his tail does not seem pleased. I had this idea that ravens are special birds in that they are given leave to fly freely in and out of Heaven, Hell, and the mortal world. Hence they are often used as messengers between the opposing sides. Sepherus there is the ruler of Hell, a very high ranking demon indeed (you can tell by the number of horns on his head), but since the ravens cannot land he is forced to fly up and meet them. Originally I had planned an angry red and grey background for the skies of Hell, but everything turned out oddly pink and yellow and happy. *shrugs* So it goes. Must have been a nice day.
