And, just so's people aren't wondering: MATERIALS USED:

Illustration board.

Also Photoshop for the actual… you know… tutorial. :XD:

Anyway, SO happy this is finally finished! I've been working on it steadily since January… yes, January! :faint: I think this will be the only pencil tutorial I ever do, so I tried to be as thorough as possible. But if there are any questions left unanswered, feel free to ask them here and I'll do my best to answer them. ;)

Also keep in mind this CC license allows you to repost this however you like, provided it's not for profit and you link back to me. :)

Some signatures are so good I wish I could :+fav: them. Mine isn't.

How do you get the pencil so neatly into such tiny areas? :O_o: 'cause no matter how sharp my pencils are, I can't get them to stay in the lines like that.

Other than that question, this has indeed been very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to do this! :D

Patience? Practice? Very careful application?

Having a good, resilient medium can help a lot too: one of the reasons I like illustration board: it can take a lot of punishment.

And you're welcome!

I especially like the part where you say, "my methods are always changing and evolving as I try new things, so don't be afraid to mess about and do things differently than what I've done here."

I've found it important to realize for myself that there are many ways to do things, and there's always something I haven't yet thought of waiting around the corner. Also, it's helpful when dealing with others because then it is easier to be accepting of their own different ways of doing things.

There's so much that goes into one of your color pencil drawings! It makes my head all confuslcated.
