Wheee! Shakuro's back, and lookin' better than ever! This was mainly just a "fun" pic I did because I felt like drawing her. I tried to give her slightly more realistic proportions — hence the shortish legs — and I also wanted to draw her wings in color. The coloring was done with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils mixed together. It was a rather time-consuming process, and the scan pretty much wrecked the subtle red shading (as it always does), but overall I'm pretty thrilled with the result.

Shakuro is my own original character, and the hero of a comic I'm working on. You can read a sample of it here.

wow, that's a cool picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wow: That's really neat. I like shakuro, she 'breaks the mold' so to speak. I luv the wings... something else I'm still working on getting better at T_T;

Thanks! And YAY for Prismas!

Here's my tip on those pencils: don't be afraid to lay them on. Like, go on really thick so the colors aren't grainy, and also use more than one color, mix and match and you get this great, multi-hued affair that looks really cool.
