Miroku will never recover from the trauma. :XD: Or the boot-to-the-head Ranma will be giving him any second now. Sango, however, will be sending Ranma flowers for the rest of her life.

Poor Inyasha: ramen—DENIED! But then again, Akané was the one making it, so maybe it's just as well. Because if anyone can ruin ramen, it would be that girl. :noes:

Note for seriously confused people: The characters here are from two different mangas by Japanese mangaka Rumiko Takahashi: Miroku (the one in purple on the left) is lecherous priest who asks every attractive woman he meets to bear his child. He is from InuYasha, a fairy tale set in fuedal Japan. Ranma (in red on the right) is a young (male) martial artist who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water, and back into a man when splashed with hot water. He has many different fiancés, and to be honest, being asked to bear some guy's child is probably not the strangest thing that has ever happened to him. He is from the manga Ranma 1/2, an action/romantic/comedy set in present-day Tokyo.

The woman on the left is Sango, who kinda-sorta-has a thing for Miroku, but she's the only one he hasn't asked to bear his child, so seeing his prospective partner turn into a man has just made her day. Or week. Or month. :XD: The characters off-screen are Akané, Ranma's first fiancé, who is a terrible cook. She is being assisted by Kagome and Inuyasha. Kagome seems surprised at Ranma's transformation, but I think Inuyasha is more disappointed at not getting any ramen.

For more info, go read the actual mangas. They are both awesome and full of win.

WHEW! This was fun! Haven't drawn IY/Ranma fanart in ages. I adore both mangas, and they have had a huge impact on my own style. Anyway, this is for ~ThatTime's February contest. ~ThatTime is a monthly Inuyasha-themed contest run by some very devoted and driven deviants. It's been going, without a break, for almost as long as I've been a member of dA, and I've been a member of it almost since the beginning. How long ago was that? well check out what one of their first submissions is. :fear:

I think we've both come a very long way.

Copics and pilot and micron pens. Text added in PS CS3. Characters from InuYasha and Ranma 1/2 belong to Rumiko Takahashi, art © myself, some rights reserved.

I take full responsibility for Inuyasha's line in the last frame. Sorriez to anyone who thinks that line is stupid. ^^;

Bwahaha! This brings back memories, I haven't watched either of these series in ages.
Thank you for making me get all nostalgic again, it seems to be happening more often now.

Lol, I have a feeling Sango would hold this over Miroku's head for the rest of his life, if she knew what cameras were pictures would be taken and shame would be had. X3

:love:s back. :giggle:

I know! You guys totally rock! Sometimes you're a little late but hey… month in month out man, I gotta hand it to you. That account needs to be senior'd some day. I don't think I've seen anything quite like it since. :worship:

Ah yes, if only she'd had Kagome's camera-phone. :XD:

I had much fun re-reading Ranma manga in prep for this pic. Glad I could spread the nostalgia joy!

That's hilarious. I can RK doing something like that.

Also if you didn't know Rumiko Takahashi is going to start a new manga series in the Spring time. I don't know what it but it will probably incorporate those themes that you put in the drawing plus her other 4 major works. I wish she could finish up Ranma 1/2 after giving us that BS ending in the manga and the anime.

I got a lot of sites that would make any manga/anime fan happy.

Go to this site.

(Click on Inuyasha then click on Rumiko Takahashi's name and you can read ALL of her works major and minor)

This has the current anime up and you can watch other anime series that just finished up.

Awww, thanks! You say such sweet things about the club

I've been toying with buying a subscription for it, but I might wait till my bank account is a little more steady ;) Besides, I don't think clubs can get senior'd... :)
