To be honest, I didn't really know whether to put this in Fantasy or landscapes, since it is a fantasy landscape. >.< But I felt it was more fantasy, because of the subject matter, so there you go.
Oh yeah, the pic. Yes, it IS a dragon. And Earth Dragon, they are one of my more impressive creations although inspired by many old English legends, so if it looks familar, that's why. If you can't see the dragon take a step back from your comp and look again. He's HUGE, and he's half buried in the ground so he looks like a mountain. I could go on and on about this guy, but I'll just give you the basics:
His name is Bandur. It doesn't mean anything, but it's his name.
The black and white stone thingies on his claws are tombs containing the spirits of Bandur's messenger griffins, Eldis (the white one) and Aldor, (the black one).
He is a very, very, old God and the eldest of the Earth Dragons.
He does not like being disturbed either.
This done on paper with pencils, markers, and lots of water color paints. Took about five days.
I have one thing to say about this pic, and that thing is guh. I didn't even notice the dragon until I read your comments, but this picture is just gorgeous and eye-catching in every way.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
