“UNTIL SUCH TIME AS MY NAME BECOMES COMPREHENSIBLE TO YOU—” it intoned through the box in a sharp, metallic voice. “—DAVE WILL BE ACCEPTABLE.”
Dave, one of the great oddities of the first Professor Odd story, in front of the no-less impressive oddity that is the very real
Light Echo around V838 Mon. I can't tell you any more about Dave, because it's sort of spoilers for the story.
Ah yes, the story! I hear you cry. When will we get to read the story?
The answer: RIGHT NOW! That's right folks, it's available for Kindle (and via their free apps, your desktop, smart phone or iPad)
RIGHT HERE!
This is just the first of many of my stories that I will be ePubbing through Amazon, and eventually the iTunes bookstore (once they approve my application). It costs three bucks, and is available from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.de (because I know you Germans speak better English than we do!)
So go, check out the free sample, and enjoy!
DAVE COMMANDS IT!!!
Still not sure? Check out his friends:

8.25"x12" Prismacolor pencil on illustration paper. The August illustration for my
Black Book Project, this appears on page 132 of my
Black Book.
The next story is still being formatted for publication, and I have another in the pipeline ahead of it, but I hope to have it out by Christmas!
Nah, that's his Panvironment suit, which he usually rides around in. Dave's species are aquatic, and he has a hard time breathing air. Also, he communicates through psycho-active slime, and the suit has a built in translator so he doesn't have to glom onto people to talk to them.
And… strangely enough, the suit's translator does make him sound a bit like a Dalek.
But it doesn't have weapon systems. So he's mostly harmless.
But you can get the free Kindle app for your desktop, smart phone or iPad and read it there.
Also I'll have it available in standard ePub format soon.
And don't worry about what other people will think of your unusual work; I've been a huge fan of both Douglas Adams and A. Lee Martinez, and your story synopsis reminds me very much of the two authors.
I fear for your lappy.
